"note": "Jabbit analysis. Senolytics are drugs meant to clear senescent ('zombie') cells. The best-known are dasatinib plus quercetin (D+Q) and fisetin. In mice, D+Q increased post-treatment survival in old animals and fisetin extended median and maximum lifespan. No human trial has measured lifespan. Human trials are small (5 to 75 people): early open-label pilots reported better walking tests and fewer senescent cells; a 60-woman bone trial missed its main goal; a 75-person fisetin knee-arthritis trial posted no difference from placebo; an Oct 2026 phase 2 trial in 31 people with fibrotic MASH met its main goal on liver biopsies, with more side effects on D+Q. Dasatinib is a prescription leukemia drug with serious label warnings; quercetin and fisetin are sold as supplements, which FDA does not approve before sale. Patents on senolytic drugs are held by Mayo Clinic, and several trial authors disclose financial interests."
